Let’s talk about reusable water bottles. We love them! Aside from reducing waste, they’re economical too. But there are some drawbacks too. I try really hard to wash my reusable water bottles after each use, but sometimes I forget and leave it to do later. Have you ever opened up your reusable water bottle only to find that it smells “weird?” That smell is bacteria. No thanks.
Larq is here with solutions! The Larq movement reusable water bottle is constructed entirely of brushed stainless steel, so there’s no plastic to hold onto odors if you sometimes use your water bottle for coffee or tea. The silicone sleeve is comfortable to the touch and protects the exterior of the bottle from scratches, dents, and chips. It’s also lightweight, so it’s super easy to toss into your backpack or tote! Starting at $79, it’s a bit of an investment; let’s see if it’s worth it.
You might be wondering how this stainless steel reusable bottle is any different than all the other ones you’ve tried. Well, Larq has specialized UV-C light technology built into the cap that zaps up to 99.9999% of bacteria and viruses. The bottle AND the water are sanitized. Pretty amazing, right?! All you have to do is fill up the bottle with water, screw on the cap, and tap the cap. One tap starts a one-minute cycle, and two taps starts a three-minute cleaning cycle. The three-minute cycle has the highest level of sterilization, and you can even sterilize water from streams and lakes while you’re out hiking! In fact, it’s the equivalent of boiling the water for 20 minutes or using a bacterial-removal tablet sold by camping suppliers. But what about batteries? No need, there’s a mini-USB port right in the cap; a charge using the regular cycle will last about 3 weeks, and a charge with the adventure cycle will last about 12 days. When your bottle has water in it, it will automatically run a 10-second cycle every 2 hours to keep your water clean and fresh.
We at CharCharms think that the Larq reusable water bottles are totally worth the hype. Portable, comfortable to hold, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing that your water is clean and healthy no matter where it comes from! We’ve also got awesome ideas about making a Larq water bottle even better. The bottle itself doesn’t have any hooks or loops so why not grab a CharCharms hook and start accessorizing? There are 20 different options for hooks, and even more super cute and handy accessories to personalize your bottle.
