We are looking for a creative, trend-aware Social Media Content Creator who can turn ideas into compelling content that people want to watch, share, and engage with.

This is a highly hands-on role for someone who loves being behind the camera, understands what performs on social media, and can take a piece of content from initial concept through filming and final edit.

About the Role

The Social Media Content Creator will be responsible for ideating, filming, and editing both short-form and long-form video content across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube.

You will create a mix of product-focused content, street-style interviews, behind-the-scenes videos, lifestyle content, trend-driven concepts, and experimental formats. You should be comfortable moving quickly, testing new ideas, and adapting content for each platform.

This role is ideal for someone who does not want to simply follow a content calendar—you want to help shape it.

What You’ll Do

Content Ideation and Planning

  • Develop original short-form and long-form content ideas
  • Build weekly concepts across product content, street content, behind-the-scenes footage, lifestyle storytelling, and experimental formats
  • Stay current on social media trends, sounds, creators, editing styles, and platform best practices
  • Turn brand initiatives and product launches into engaging social-first concepts
  • Pitch new recurring series and formats that can grow the CharCharms audience

Filming and Content Capture

  • Film short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
  • Help plan and film weekly long-form YouTube videos
  • Capture product demonstrations, lifestyle footage, street interviews, office content, and behind-the-scenes moments
  • Ensure content is framed, lit, and filmed appropriately for each platform
  • Direct team members, customers, or talent appearing in content when needed
  • Feel comfortable filming in public and approaching people for street-style content

Editing and Post-Production

  • Edit engaging short-form videos with strong hooks, pacing, captions, transitions, and audio
  • Apply brand formatting, text, graphics, and captions
  • Repurpose content across platforms while adapting it to each channel
  • Deliver organized, polished assets on schedule
  • Review performance and make editing improvements based on what resonates

Social Media Execution

  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to support the broader social strategy
  • Assist with publishing and organizing content across social platforms
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual style
  • Participate in campaign brainstorming and product launch planning
  • Identify opportunities to react quickly to trends and cultural moments

  • You are highly aware of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube culture.
  • You can take a loose idea and turn it into a finished piece of content.
  • You are creative, resourceful, organized, and comfortable working quickly.
  • You are willing to test ideas without being overly attached to any one concept.
  • You care about performance, but you also have strong creative instincts.
  • You enjoy working collaboratively while taking ownership of your responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of experience creating social media content for a brand, agency, creator, or personal platform
  • Strong short-form video filming and editing skills
  • Experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
  • Familiarity with long-form YouTube filming and editing
  • Proficiency with CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, captions, storytelling, and retention
  • Ability to manage multiple pieces of content and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • A portfolio or examples of relevant work are required

Bonus Points

  • Experience creating content for a consumer product or lifestyle brand
  • Experience filming street interviews or public-facing content
  • Product photography skills
  • Graphic design or motion graphics experience
  • Comfortable appearing in content
  • Experience growing a brand or personal social media account
  • Familiarity with Monday.com and Slack
